Jookin'
Jookin’ (a term derived from South Florida’s musical expression) Jookin’ (a term derived from South Florida’s musical expression) is an examination of Southern and Caribbean architecture through the lens of contemporary Black performance, studying how spaces have been transformed through the aesthetic legacies of the Saltwater Railroad, while creating new architectural possibilities through methods of creolization. This is a collaborative project led by architects Sydney Rose Maubert and Cornelius Tulloch.
